Sezen, Halil

Biography

Halil Sezen is a professor of structural engineering and a registered professional engineer (P.E., state of Ohio). He received his Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley, and M.S. from Cornell University, New York. He has been with the Ohio State University since 2002. His research focuses on structural analysis, design and performance assessment of various structures under extreme loading conditions. He has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles. His research projects have been funded by the U.S. National Science Foundation, Federal Highway Administration, Ohio Department of Transportation, and U.S. Department of Energy. He is a Fulbright Scholar, and Fellow of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Structural Engineering Institute, and American Concrete Institute.
