Biography

Prof. Myers joined The Ohio State University in 2008 as an Assistant Professor and was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2013 and Full Professor in 2017. Dr. Myers received his Ph.D. from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2006 in Materials and his BSE in Materials Science and Engineering at University of Pennsylvania in 2001. Since arriving at OSU, Dr. Myers has made key contributions to fundamental research in two distinct fields: thermal spintronics and nanowire photonics. In both areas he has published several high impact articles and developed an internationally recognized research program spanning from nanostructure synthesis, UV optoelectronics, magnetic materials, and thermo-magneto-transport.
