Biography

Shannon McLoughlin Morrison, Ph.D. is the Assistant Director, Academics and Program Assessment for the Center for Aviation Studies. In this role, Dr. Morrison maintains the Center’s academic accreditation through the Aviation Accreditation Board, International. Dr. Morrison also manages all curricular changes and program assessments that occur within the Center.

She currently teaches AVN 4520: Aviation Engineering Capstone, as well as AVN 5400: Access and Retention in Aviation and STEM Workforces. Dr. Morrison has also taught in the College of Education and Human Ecology, School and Society.

Her educational background includes Master's degrees in Education, Public Policy, and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, along with a Ph.D. in Educational Policy and Leadership.

Dr. Morrison's research focus is on access and retention to STEM education.
